What this family headed by a ballet teacher with M.S., his wife, and initially five-year-old son discovered besides the beauty of North America were lessons about life and themselves. This trio drove through Monument Valley in an old Buick before there were roads, eventually visited 44 states, Canada, and Mexico, drove or waited for hours trying to get the perfect sunset photograph. They learned to enjoy life, handle adversity, and treat obstacles as opportunities.
